St Paddy’s Day

I love to dress up. Any reason to make a new dress, jewelry and possibly new shoes, I’m for it. With today being St. Paddy’s  Day, you know I had to have a new dress.

I bought this fabric over a year ago, for our son’s wedding. Life happened, however; and I was just now able to make the dress.

V8789As usual, I used Vogue 8789, my go to dress pattern.

100_1872The fabric is a green, blue and reddish, striped cotton pique.  Shown with a green belt I made.

See my stripes? They match up!  Yup, I’m proud of myself.  🙂

pretty in green

Here’s me all dolled up for a night of karaoke. Wearing most of green. I chose to wear a black belt with a green shamrock. I’d wanted to pretend my waist a bit smaller. 🙂

I bought a full yellow petticoat, to wear underneath, but I forgot to put it on.  :p

I’m also wearing jewelry, that I made from polymer clay. My pin is a coiled green, blue, white and purple heart. The green bangles, are free formed.

plaid shoesI paired some green plaid tennies with my dress. They even have the same colors.

Did you dress up? Did you party with friends and family?
