Today’s project includes a skirt, which will be turned into a dress.
In keeping with my goal of one project a day, I made a skirt with this fabulous black and white Home Sewing is Easy fabric, by Alexander Henry.
It has a gathered elastic waist, which I’m not liking. So tomorrow, I will undo the waist band and attach a bodice, by adapting this dress pattern.
It’s Mccalls 3129. I was going to use the square neckline, but then my husband pointed out, that this particular print is not exactly square, and that would drive me crazy. So, I am going with the scoop neck.
I will post pictures when I am done with it, of course. 🙂
I also finished Niki’s skirt. I had to use my machine to do it. Ya gotta love computer sewing machines!
I was using my daughter’s, simple Brother machine. She had been having trouble with it, so I said I would try it out.
It worked okay, except on the knit skirt, although, I’m sure that’s operator error. 🙂
I got Kat’s leaf green corduroy for her pants today, so I will be starting them this weekend. If you remember, she chose the brown pants from Creative Patterns F4.
I have also been asked to make a hat for cat. Yeah, strange, but my daughter wants a bug hat for her smallest cat. I will have to post pictures for that as well. I’m supposed to have it in the mail this weekend, and I haven’t started yet.
