Glittery Gingerbread man dress

My second Christmas dress, is, once again Vogue 8789. This time I used a glittery gingerbread man fabric. I tried to find the link to the fabric from Joanns, but for some reason I couldn’t find it.

Here is the dress on Matilda. You can’t see the glittery gingerbread goodness, but trust me, it’s there.  🙂

And here is the dress on me. Complete with glittery shrug,  Santa earrings and white boots.

Of course I needed a new slip. So here is my pretty, glittery, yellow net slip. The waist band is 3″ wide elastic that I dyed a while ago. The net is very fine, so the slip isn’t as full as I think it needs to be. I will be adding a lining of either gingham or a small floral fabric, with a wide horsehair braid hem. I’m looking at the 3″, in yellow.

What you don’t see:  I used grey thread, the slip is zig zagged to the waist band, and the side seams aren’t sewn on the slip.  I works for me, and I doubt I will change it. 🙂

I love my glittery, Christmas dress part 2!

Apparently, I was in a glittery mood tonight.

Happy Sewing!
